A rough couple of days with Montezuma

Whew, it’s been a rough couple of days. Sunday night Becky came down with Montezuma’s Revenge. Fever, shakes, vomiting, and diarrhea. She missed her return flight on Monday. I took her to a local doctor that night and he prescribed an antibiotic, immodium, and a pain killer. On Tuesday, without any food for 2 days and with minimal hydration, she boarded a flight at 11 am in La Paz that landed in San Francisco at 11 pm. Brutal. She is nails tough – no way I would/could have done that.

Last night it was my turn. No vomiting, but a run – literally – to the bathroom every hour throughout the night and into the morning, and a screaming headache every time I stood up. I was able to drive Charlie to Spanish school, but then headed immediately to bed where I slept until 2 pm. I just had my first meal – saltine crackers and carbonated water. So far, so good.

Thankfully Charlie hasn’t shared the experience.

Needless to say, no photos with this post.
