Miguel, You may be interested in a mosquito zapper/killer like I have bought (about $25 U.S.) and used in the Philippines. Tal vez you have seen them in restaurants allí en La Paz already.
A small appliance consists of a couple of blue 12" fluorescent lights to attract the mosquitos. It electrocutes them when they fly in and touch one of several rods/elements. Muy eficaz when placed in el cuarto de baño at night, because the mosquitos seem to seek out el agua from the shower, toilet, etc…It also serves as a good bathroom night light. Lo divertido is that it is very satisfying to hear a mosquito meet its chingada muerte. It is also interesting to examine the variety of your kill when you wake up por la manaña.
