Two classes of PE at St. Stephen’s School of Rome. Volleyball instruction (what else). One indoor in the school auditorium. The other outdoor on the still-slippery-from-the-rain volleyball court. Kids were fun, some talented, some screw-offs. Great experience working with Italian and other high schoolers.

Two more images from Galleria Nazionale d’Arte Moderna. The first, a painting, Gli emigranti – Angelo Tommasi’s 1896 painting of the departure of Italian emigrants. The second, a wall paper installation, I walked through the city limits attracted by some force within it, which apparently was inspired by a Joy Division song (or vice versa). Anyone know?

Scenes from Museo di Roma. Some lovely sculptures and a marvelous space, but the exhibit Rome and the Great War.1915 – 1918 was downright disappointing – 35 poorly displayed, small images. Still, worth the visit.
